Post-Placement Services
post placement reports
International and domestic adoptions often require post placement reports. These typically happen 3-6 months after a child is placed in the adoptive home. The meetings between social worker and adoptive families that these reports require, are also an opportunity for the social worker to give additional resources and tools specific to your family’s individual needs.
post placement requirements
International post placement requirements can vary in frequency, based on the child’s country of origin and placing agency requirements. Post-placement reports must be completed in a timely manner in order to maintain good relations between the United States and your child’s country of origin. When an adoptive family does not complete and submit the required reports, it can jeopardize the placement of future adoptions from that country. You will also most likely be required to finalize your adoption in the courts in Oregon, once your child is home. Integrity Home Studies can provide the needed court reports for this finalization.
Domestic post placement reports are similar to the information required for international post placements. All domestic adoptions will need to be finalized in court. Integrity Home Studies will work with your attorney to provide the needed reporting for Oregon family courts.
